Creating & Editing a Course

Every step to build a course, from a blank page to publishing it for your students.

If your admin has given you course-creation access, building a course works the same way end-to-end:

  1. 1Go to Courses → New Course.
  2. 2Enter the course title, description, and category, and upload a thumbnail image.
  3. 3Add Sections to structure the course (e.g. "Week 1", "Week 2").
  4. 4Inside each section, add Lessons — video (upload or link), text/article content, downloadable attachments, or SCORM packages.
  5. 5Attach a quiz to a section once you've built one (see Building Quizzes below).
  6. 6Set the course to Draft while you're working on it — nothing is visible to students yet.
  7. 7Use Preview to check exactly what a student will see.
  8. 8When ready, publish the course — or notify your admin if publishing requires their approval on your school.
💡

You can go back and edit a published course at any time — sections, lessons, and quizzes can be added, reordered, or updated after launch.
